Not content with just working in this industry, we’ve always set out to lead it. So here we are, more than 30 years later, with somewhat of a reputation for being a pioneer in piling!
We’re innovation obsessed. While others may think the design of the helical pile and its applications are limited, we continue to prove otherwise. We’ve taken everything we’ve learned, and continue to learn, about helical piles (which is a lot) and we use that knowledge to help the deep-foundation industry evolve.
The IDEAL Team continues to address issues, smooth rough edges, and find new ways to overcome the challenges faced by engineers and architects. Every day, The IDEAL Team works to provide our clients with value-engineered designs using high quality products that meet project requirements, adhere to local building codes, and ultimately save time and money.
You may know us as inventors of STELCOR, but that same passion for innovation and improvement is applied to every product in our extensive range of round shaft and square shaft (RCS) helical screw piles and anchors. We continue to evaluate and improve every part of our process, allowing us to…
This holistic approach benefits installers, contractors, and engineers, making us your IDEAL partner.
“We pioneered the high-capacity helical pile industry and today we manufacture helical piles with shaft diameters up to 36”.”
Cole Stroyer
Helical piers are designed to resist compressive loads, usually downward. Helical anchors resist tensile loads, usually upward or inclined. Many helical units function as both piers and anchors.
Our ongoing investment in R&D has pushed the boundaries of the helical pile. We continue to introduce helical piles to new industries and find new applications in which they provide advantages over traditional methods.
As an end-bearing deep foundation, helical piles transfer structural loads to deeper, stronger, and more stable material that can’t be reached with conventional shallow foundations. Helical piles should be considered for any application that would traditionally call for a driven pile, drilled pier or mini pile.
The advantages? Well, there are a few…
